  18. I am running kermit - I try to transfer files from my account to my personal
  19. machine. Kermit is installed on both machines but I am not sure about
  20. versions.

  22. The problem is that wnen I try to receive a file I get an error I can not
  23. decipher. This is the procedure I go through:

  25. kermit     #on my machine
  26. C-prompt>  set line /dev/tty00  #(I wonder if I have to do this everytime I ran
  27.                                 # the program)
  28. C-prompt>  set speed 19200
  29. C-prompt>  connect
  30. atmds=0                         # dial the number
  31.  
  32. $ kermit -r                     #from my account
  33.  
  34.   CTRL-/ CTRL-c                 #suspend the kermit session
  35.  
  36.      At this point I try to run get and receive commands but get errors:

  38. C-Kermit>get na.2
  39. IRE
  40. ?Unexpected packet type         #?????
  41. C-Kermit>receive na.2
  42. TNTNTNTN                        #??????
  43.  
  44.     So what I am doing wrong and what should I be doing instead of these
  45.     commands? I would appreciate any comments via email. Thank you for your
